Woking Vets lift Saturday Junior Cup

Woking Vets defeated AFC Farnham Vets 6-1 in the final of the Aldershot Divisional Football Association Saturday Junior Invitation Cup played at the home of National League Aldershot Town FC.

Scott Evans gave Woking the lead on 17 minutes with a close range effort. Six minutes before the interval Simon Edmonson levelled for Farnham before missing an injury time penalty in a feisty end to the first half.

Woking dominated proceedings after the break and retook the lead on 63 minutes with a tremendous strike from Joe Richards. Josh Adams extended the lead two minutes later. Evans, later awarded the Player of the Match, secured his hat trick with goals in the 70th and 84th minute. Emmanuel Acheampong also scored with the last kick of the match as Woking Vets lifted the trophy for the first time
