North End retain the Saturday Junior Cup

The first thirty minutes or so produced a few chances at eirther end in a tough no nonsense tackling first half hour, with probably most chances falling to the Bramley side. On 33 minutes however, Farnborough North End Athletic were awarded a penalty for a foul at the edge of the box which the red’s number 7 Joshua Roe gratefully blasted in for his team to take the lead. Just three minutes later North End’s Finn Lloyd cut in from the left of the 18 yard box and tucked the ball into the far corner of the net giving Farnborough North End Athletic at 2-0 lead to take into the dressing rooms at half-time.

The second half brought more entertaining football but it was Athletic that took the next scoring opportunity with Ryan Hani blasting a shot in from the edge of the area on 65 minutes. Bramley kept the pressure on though and were rewarded 10 minutes later when the Red’s goalkeeper failed to gather a cross and Bramley’s James Hill scored with a close range shot from the loose ball. Finally on 88 minutes Athletic were on the attack and the Bramley keeper puched the ball but failed to clear. Farnborough sub Nathan Street was there to smash the ball into the net from close range and complete the scoring for the day.
